IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR MY AWESOME MIDDLE SCHOOLERS!

We are changing our schedule to give you time to interact with your teachers, to ask any questions you may have, and to learn from your actual teachers.  From now on, you'll  be participating in online classes.  I will email each class links to Zoom meetings. Here is the new schedule, which starts tomorrow:

Khan Academy
You are doing great! If you have not signed up for Khan Academy, please do so. There are join links in last week's blog.
When you have an assignment on Khan Academy, I do intend for you to complete it. However, my goal for you is mastery of each level. So rather than completing all assignments so you can check them off your list, work at them diligently so that you master the concepts. You do not need to email me progress, because I can check it on Khan Academy. This is an excellent tool for those of you who have encountered grammar for the first time ever when you entered my class, and it helps students who are proficient with grammar to be even better.
I've also added coding, Pixar, and other cool things to your classes. Have fun with these!!!

Assignments:
Online assignments are just as important as in-class assignments. If you have not submitted assignments from last week, you must by 5pm today to receive credit for them. If I returned an assignment to you so that you can correct it, it's up to you to correct it and turn it back in.

8-1 - New SAT class Wednesday! We'll also get ready for our Secret Garden test.

8-2 - and 7-2 You have a novel test Wednesday. Be sure you've become wise in the ways of discovering theme, as your test will require you to explore themes of your novels. 7-2- excellent job on the one pagers! 8-2: new SAT class Wednesday.
