Color Run, Valentine's Day, Spirit Week, and more!

There's so much going on in middle school!!

6th Grade: Work on your castle! Keep up with grammar on Khan Academy.

7th Grade: Your ode poem rough draft is due Tuesday, and your final draft is due Thursday. First period: English Noun test is next Monday.

7th Grade: Send your  Secret St. Valentine gifts by next Thursday! $10 limit. 

7th Grade Homeroom: Sign up on funrun.com! Special shout out to Ellie and Rogan for registering, and to Avery and Morgan for registering and getting pledges!

Everyone:

Color Run is next Friday, February 12! Here are important reminders:

Our color run starts at 11am, and students may not re-enter the school buildings. Parents must pick students up at the conclusion of the run (around 11:45).

Put a beach towel or other covering in your car so that your very colorful child won't ruin your car.

Be sure to pay the entry fee of $30. You may pledge on the funrun website, or you may pay by cash or check in the front office. Checks are payable to Lee Christian School. Please include your child's name and his or her  homeroom teacher's name with your payment.

Dress Code: Students may come to school wearing what they'd like to wear in the color run. Dress warmly, and wear clothes you don't mind getting dirty. Be modest in dress; girls may wear leggings ONLY if they wear shorts or a tutu or something like that over them. 

No school  Monday, February 15.

Spirit Week is February 16-19!

 Here's the info:

Students who don't participate in Spirit Week will wear normal LCS dress code.

Middle School English Stuff!

 Hi, Grammarland!

The 6th graders are reading a story in which a boy eats enchanted candy, so of course, we had to try it too! I posted this pic of Turkish Delight, because I always end up with a student or two who think it is delicious and want some for themselves!

On Friday,  I announced our new 6th grade project! It's due at the end of February, and students are already excited about it. Ask your student to show you the sheet, and get started!

7th grade homeroom: Our awesome Color Run, is Friday, February 12. Our homeroom class will work towards fundraising goals, and then we shall have an amazing time at the color run! Sign up on funrun.com!
